Who killed the Director?
On the evening of 29 March almost 60 Freemasons, family and friends enjoyed a treat at Alderson House, Warwick when they were entertained to a most enjoyable murder mystery play and dinner in aid of the Alderson House Community Fund. The event raised £410.00 in support of the 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts and taking the total raised so far to approaching £2,500.00 with 4 months of the appeal still to run.

The Alderson House manager, the redoubtable Peter Round is seen being “stabbed” during a rehearsal by his am-dram group, of which he was the Director in the title, but the mystery was who administered the fatal dose of poison to speed him on his way. The cast of the Alderson House Players group are seen altogether and include a “guest” appearance and performance by the Alderson House Chairman’s wife, Linda Price, playing a hardnosed business woman.
A very entertaining evening all round, well done to everyone who made it happen!
Alderson House had set up a fund to support local causes and charities and this year they are raising money for the 2nd Warwick Sea Scout Group which is a large Scout group based in St Nicholas Park, Warwick, established in 1959. They offer Scouting to children aged from 6 to 18 years old and are currently raising money to build a new scout hut. Their plans are also being supported by the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, together with our own Provincial Grand Master, David F Macey.
