Support Team Leader takes the chair at Lord Leycester Lodge
At a wonderful installation ceremony at Alderson House, Warwick, on Saturday March 9th, W Bro Mike Midgley was installed as Master of the Lord Leycester Lodge No 7889 by W Bro Hosey Davoudian in conjunction with the outgoing Worshipful Master, W Bro John Peakman.
W Bro Mike Midgley is the leader of the Provincial Lodge Support Team, and a number of those brethren present were members of the team, including W Bro John Hayward, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, pictured below with the new Worshipful Master. Also present to support W Bro Mike was W Bro Peter Sorrill, the originator of the Support Team, who handed the team over to Mike in 2010. Incidentally, Peter made the candelabra on the table below.
The Provincial Lodge Support Team has been in operation since 2007, and exists to support Lodges with low membership, who may need assistance with a ceremony, or to increase attendance on a special occasion. W Bro Mike is keen to recruit new members at any level, who are interested in visiting other Lodges, both to further their own enjoyment of visiting and to support Lodges in need of assistance.
