RELOCATION OF THE FOUNDATION STONE MARKS THE COMPLETION OF THE READING COURT EXTENSIONS

Updated: Oct 4, 2018

Reading Court, part of the Masonic Housing Association, is situated on the edge of Stratford-upon-Avon near the river.  It is less than a mile from the town centre and there is a daily bus service from Reading Court; facilities such as doctors’ surgeries and dentists are located in the town centre. There is also a shop, pub and deli in Tiddington which is a 5 minute walk away.

Over the past 3 years 28 single bedrooms have been extending outwards by 1.5 mtrs, the last phase having been completed on the 20th July 2018.

The Foundation Stone was originally laid by Lt Col The Lord Burnham DL, Chairman of the Masonic Housing Association and The Rt Rev Vernon S Nichols, Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire on the 8th April 1986. The foundation stone had to be relocated because of the extensions and it now rests in its new home on the right hand side of the main entrance.

The committee are all trustee’s of the Reading Court Charitable Trust, The Provincial Grand Master, W Bro David Macey being the current President and W Bro David Stanford, Assistant Provincial Grand Master is the Chairman.
