Provincial Church Service 2022: 'Unity to Act Together'

The Provincial Church Service will be held in the Collegiate Church of St Mary’s, Warwick by kind permission of the Vicar, The Rev’d Dr Vaughan S Roberts on Sunday 12th June 2022, at 2.45 pm.

This is one of the major events in the Provincial calendar and the Provincial Grand Master considers every Worshipful Master, together with his Wardens and their families with other members of the Lodge, and their families, should have the pleasure of attending.

W Bro John M Cowan PGStB will lead the service and deliver the sermon, this year’s theme being “Unity-to act together”. Representatives of the Jewish, Sikh, Hindu and Muslim faiths as well as Christian will be taking part. The Provincial Choir will be under the direction of W Bro Chris Grove OBE, PAGDC, while the Provincial Organist, W Bro Peter Summers PGStB will be playing the organ.

This year the Provincial Grand Master has directed that all reigning Worshipful Masters of Lodges across the Province are invited and encouraged to join in the procession of Acting Provincial Grand Lodge Officers from Alderson House through Warwick to St Mary's Church after the Luncheon. On completing the application form please select if you would like to be included in the procession.

Brethren who are not in the procession will clothe after taking their seats. Doors open at 1.45pm. Brethren with unreserved seats and their guests are requested to be seated not later than 2.15pm ready for pre-service music.

There will be a Buffet Lunch at Alderson House prior to the Service and will be available at 11.45 am for 12.15 pm at a cost of £15.00 per person.

Early application is essential as places are limited and will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Please use the link below to register your attendance and book your lunch.

  • Grand Officers – Full Dress (TailCoats)

  • Provincial Grand Officers – FullDress

  • Masters & Wardens – Collars and Aprons (NoGauntlets)

  • Other Brethren – Aprons

  • White Gloves and RoyalArch, Tercentenary and Festival Jewels only to be worn
