Loyal Travellers support Magnolia House
On 12th April 2019 Worshipful Brothers Andrew Irving and Bob Allcock attended Magnolia House to donate £1,100 toward the work of this centre. As part of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Magnolia house is a facility for palliative care, bereavement care and support. They provide a calm and peaceful place where specially trained staff meet with children, young people and families to have conversations around life-changing choices and decision making around palliative and end of life care.

The money was raised during Andrew's year as Worshipful Master being the combined result of the December 2018 Ladies Evening and subsequent January 2019 Burns night. W. Bro. Irving, now Immediate Past Master, had this to say about attending Magnolia House in person to present the donation:
“It was with immense pleasure that I was able to attend and present the donation along with W.Bro Allcock on behalf of the Brethren of the Loyal Travellers. It is a place which feels safe and kind, where children, young people, parents and carers can spend time out to help them in their journey. It really is an amazing facility and the tour of the house with Tasmin and Tanita was heart felt and inspiring. I’m not going to lie; it brought a tear to my eye.”
