Lodge of Goodwill Installation

The Lodge of Goodwill Installation saw the start of the Lodge’s Centenary year, with the senior Past Master, W Bro Len Taylor, taking the chair for the third time in his 55 year service to the Lodge. He was superbly inducted into the chair by W Bro Martin Bolton, who had also enjoyed a great first year as Master of the Lodge.

W Bro John Hayward, a well known visitor to the Lodge presided for the meeting, and is shown below congratulating W Bro Len Taylor on becoming Master.

The Lodge Centenary will be celebrated next month with the Provincial Grand Master officiating at the ceremony to celebrate the Lodge’s achievement.

By coincidence there were two sets of Brothers in law present as shown below:

L-R W Bro Richard Lynes (Greville Lodge 4773) with brother in law W Bro Len Taylor (WM), W Bro David Wright (Treasurer) with brother in law W Bro John Hayward.

An unexpected bonus on the night was the presentation of a cheque for £1400, which will accompany gift aid envelopes to the Festival Relief Chest, realising an anticipated £1750. A magnificent sum, by use of monthly donations by the members, into a prize fund.

The Lodge is in good heart, and looking forward to a great year ahead. Many thanks to the Acting Officers who supported the evening, and to W Bro Ian Slesser for his photographic expertise.
