Coventry Freemasons become Santa’s little helpers!
Specially selected Coventry schools have received an exceptional Santa delivery this year, due to the Covid pandemic restrictions.
Over the past nine years Coventry and Warwickshire Freemasons have funded, organised and arranged a Pantomime performance for over 500 children, plus their carers from some specially selected Coventry Schools. This year the Freemasons were determined, that even with all the problems and restrictions we have had to endure this year due to the Pandemic, that the children from these schools should not miss out on their annual Christmas treat.

Therefore, this year in conjunction with the Belgrade Theatre, they have arranged for a "virtual Pantomime" of Jack and the Beanstalk , to be filmed and made available on special licence to be enjoyed by the children on screens at 7 schools throughout the City. So instead of the children going to the Pantomime as usual, the Pantomime is coming to them.
Oh yes it is!
Additionally the Coventry Freemasons have purchased 550 of Santa's surprise Goody Bags. These were organised, packed and delivered by the Freemasons (or Santa!), so that teachers and carers can distribute them, to ensure that none of the children miss out during these difficult times and all can have a "Very Merry Christmas".

Examples of some feedback from the schools;
Dear Coventry Freemasons,
As always, we are truly grateful for the generosity of the Freemasons and the work that you do in spreading a little Christmas cheer to our children. The times we find ourselves in have not stopped you thinking of creative ways to still support our children. We are humbled by your continued commitment to giving so generously to our children...some of whom will have very little in way of gifts this year. Your donation will bring many smiles to many little faces.
We hope that next year we can celebrate with you at the Panto like we have done for many years previously.
We wish you a very happy Christmas and a safe and healthy new year.
Once again, many many thanks for all that you do for our children and families.
Kind regards Charlotte Miller Vice Principal Corpus Christi
We will treat the Children to popcorn and goodies now we have saved that money. Merry Christmas to you all, we really appreciate all you have done in the past years and you have made some lovely memories for our children.
Regards Lynette Rollings Templars Primary School Home School Liaison
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the children's presents and for the pantomime tickets, we weren't expecting any of this so we really appreciate it,
Have a lovely Christmas,
